Appeal of graphic books in primary school

Not new information - but-
when I moved all the graphic books together and labelled them as such - there was a zooming and buzzing to that area - even more so than to the formerly busy area where sets of Beast Quest, Capt Underpants are shelved. I am now making an effort to find graphics for girls. Do you find this valuable?
