Guideline to posting on the wiki for members
Please make sure that your user-name is recognisable so that people know who you are. Some kind of variation of your name would be good, like LJones, rather than a made up user-name like librarygeek or something.

Please keep the discussion threads on the pages so that members can sort through them easily.

Before starting a new discussion, please use the Search box to check whether there may be an existing discussion you can contribute to, or whether you will need to start a new discussion.

When initiating new discussions in discussion forums, please use descriptive subject lines that will allow other members to make sense of the discussions. The administrators may edit subject lines and move discussions to more appropriate forums to keep the discussion forum space easy to navigate. Please use headings from the Sidebar (including sub-headings) as your discussion tags, this will help with organising information and enable better searching on the wiki.

The administrators will take off anything that is considered inflammatory or off topic if they deem it appropriate. While we accept that there may be differences of opinion, it would be really helpful if this wiki was kept for the topics on the sidebar.

We hope this is a useful site for you. We would like it to be an extra tool in your library toolbox.

As you will see the Moderators and Administrators have worked very hard over the last three months to bring this wiki to you. Please understand that it is a growing thing and more will be added in the future. Your suggestions are very welcome. Just send an email to the moderators, and it will be readily considered.

Do remember that the main area for 'discussions' on matters library, is the listserv, rather than on here.

Whilst the wiki is a collaborative effort, decisions will be made from time to time that we can't consult on, but we promise to work for the good of our community and with your best interests at heart.
